Credit Information for Financial Institutions

Consumer information

The credit information systems (SIC) that Cerved offers through its partnership with ECIS (Experian-Cerved Information Services) are used to check the credit references of customers before granting consumer credit, loans or financing. A credit reference represents the reputation that the customer has with banks and financial intermediaries, and reflects the correctness of their behaviour with regard to financing.

SICs contain positive and negative credit references, but also information on requests or credit reports, irrespective of the existence of defaults and a series of scores that can help financial institutions with the identification of over-indebtedness or fraud risk.

  • Positive credit references Databases that collect and manage information on regular payments of instalments or settlement of debts.
  • Negative credit references Databases that collect and manage information on late payments, arrears, defaults.
