Decision-making solutions, applications and systems designed to measure credit risk and steer customers towards the best decisions in terms of credit worthiness.
Based on the customer types, their needs and experiences, the context and markets in which they operate, as well as according to other specific variables, these services represent the standard of the financial analyses of the Italian banking sector. The main banking groups use them to define internal credit limits and evaluate the creditworthiness of their customers during the acceptance process, portfolio management, pre-collection and collection.
The experience and expertise of Cerved analysts allows them to develop statistical modules, customised for a better use of experiential and predictive indicators and information assets, with the objective of optimising processes, seizing the best opportunities and minimising costs.

SIEF, SIRC and SIAM information systems, derived from the historical experience of Centrale dei Bilanci, allow financial institutions participating in the initiative to share the most advanced methods of financial analysis for evaluation of companies' creditworthiness.
The information gathered has historical depth and detailed analyses are based on all the accounts of limited companies, of which 50,000 are analysed in detail from all the data available in the financial statements, 120,000 financial statements of smaller companies (partnerships and sole proprietorships), credit assessments, of which 3,500 are obtained by integrating quantitative and qualitative data on the company and the sector.
The CeBi system, developed in 1989 by Centrale dei Bilanci, formerly owned by the Bank of Italy, is the standard for the historical and perspective analysis of the economic-financial profile of limited companies, partnerships, sole proprietorships, non-profit organisations and public bodies. The CeBi system is operational in the 20 largest banking groups and is accessible by all banks, including through their Service Centres.

Credit risk is measured through evaluations of the portfolios of bank customers, estimates of loans and insolvencies, and stress testing and benchmarking of internal rating models. In this way, the financial institutions have forecast data, benchmarking, analyses and statistics available to support the planning and monitoring process of their credit portfolios.
In its 40 years in business, Cerved has implemented approximately 600 distress-forecasting models, segmented by geo-sector-based clusters.
